In 1976 the Trust was pleased to support the initiative of local enthusiasts, led by Mrs. Pippa Woods and Dr. Mary Dixon, by making a modest contribution to the cost of essential renovation work to preserve this fine example of a lime kiln. Constructed unobtrusively in local granite in a riverside setting, it provides a point of interest to passing ramblers and riders.
